Welcome to a new era: one of positive thinking and collaborative spirit!
Employers, if you want to attract the best employees, retain them and remain competitive in the marketplace, you're going to have to be imaginative and take a different look at your organization.
Indeed, all companies want to maintain and improve employee engagement, and stand out from the crowd thanks to their corporate culture. But the question that comes up again and again is: How can we improve employee job satisfaction?
To this question, my answer is simple: "Create an organizational culture that is positive, and discover your employees through their tastes, desires and passions".
Here are a few tips to help you on your way to positive thinking.
1/ Set up regular sports activities
Employees who engage in regular physical activity improve their concentration and mental faculties. It's also a way for the company to socialize and boost performance, as employees get to know each other better.
Sport, whatever its form, also plays a key role in stress management and team cohesion.
So whether it's walking, yoga, skipping rope, ping pong... in short, any activity that can easily be done in your office... Encourage your employees to participate and set an example !!!!!!
2/ Involving employees
Your employees need to feel good about the company, but also useful. So who better to enrich your organizational culture than your employees, by getting them involved in a program of continuous improvement? After all, your company is a project in itself, and should be exploited to its full potential.
Involving them in such a project fosters exchanges between employees, creates a stimulating atmosphere conducive to professional and personal development, and offers added value to the company.
We're all creative, each in our own way, with our own vision, our own background, our own feelings, so your organization will be a winner.
3/ Elect your Chief Happiness Officer
A Chief Happiness Officer? What's a Chief Happiness Officer? This job, which comes to us straight from Silicon Valley, was invented in the 2000s by Chade-Meng Tan, an engineer at Google.
It's a function that's becoming increasingly popular within companies. In concrete terms, it's the person in charge of personal development within the company. A cheerful and creative facilitator at heart, his role is to place benevolence at the heart of his company's development. The Chief Happiness Officer looks after the comfort of his employees, and seeks out ideas for events to organize, with one aim in mind: to create a bond between your employees.
4/ Giving feedback
Feedback is a form of recognition when it's well presented. Try to give positive feedback on your employees' work. After all, satisfaction comes from constructive, two-way dialogue. You could find out what challenges an employee is facing, or what positive aspects they liked about the latest project.
In this way, you'll be able to provide them with all the support they need to help them improve, and you'll be able to demonstrate the importance attached to everyone's role in the company.
5/ Encourage team spirit
Team spirit is just as important as mobilizing your resources. Since this is collaborative work, it's imperative to have positive energy flowing between members. So it's important to have excellent communication and the right tools to ensure good team synergy.
Employee satisfaction always comes from the top down. In other words, every decision you make can have a positive or negative impact on your employees' well-being. Recognizing employees who stand out from the crowd encourages positivity. Whatever you choose to do, it's often the little things that make all the difference.
Positive thinking is a long-term process that requires everyone's cooperation. Job satisfaction leads to motivation and commitment, and your employees will become your best allies... Never forget that!
